I’m Jessica Straughn, the founder of Supportive Counseling, LLC. My passion for helping women heal from anxiety, depression, and trauma is deeply rooted in my decade of experience as a Victim Specialist and mental health advocate. Having seen firsthand how systemic pressures and past traumas shape women’s experiences, I created Supportive Counseling, LLC to offer a sanctuary for professional women seeking evidence-based therapy that fits into real life.

Our Approach: Healing That’s Personalized, Trauma-Informed, and Empowering

  • Evidence-Based, Trauma-Focused Care
Specialized in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), I focus on helping you process past wounds without being retraumatized.

  • Empowerment Through Narrative Healing
By reframing old stories and limiting beliefs, you reclaim your power and open new chapters of growth.

  • Tailored Virtual Care
Online sessions mean no commutes, more scheduling flexibility, and a confidential space to do the deep work of healing.

  • Compassionate Professionalism
Expect authentic warmth and zero judgment—I’ve walked alongside survivors in police departments, nonprofits, and private practice, always striving to foster true safety.

  • Advocacy & Community Involvement
Healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum. I collaborate with local organizations to confront gender-based violence and advocate for policy changes that protect and empower women.

Why This Work Matters

“I believe that when women feel truly supported, seen, and equipped with the right tools, they can transform not just their own lives—but entire communities.”
